Advanced systems and controls are built into every Subaru to balance an inspired drive with complete support in all motoring situations. The introduction of the new 2015 Outback into the model range reinforces this focus, as the model showcases pioneering features alongside trademark technologies and key systems.
Subaru's cutting-edge driving support system. Like a second pair of eyes for the road ahead, EyeSight uses two stereo cameras capturing three-dimensional colour images with excellent image recognition, nearly as capable as the human eye. Using images from both cameras to precisely determine the shape, speed and distance, it not only detects vehicles, but also motorbikes, bicycles and pedestrians.*2 When spotting potential danger, it warns the driver and even applies the brakes if necessary, to help avoid an accident. With improved safety performance like this, EyeSight reduces the burden on the driver and enhances your sense of security in the Outback.

Subaru vehicles are made to challenge inclines and test their approach and departure angles to the limits. The new X-Mode with Hill Descent Control system assists you with these climbs, carrying you and the Outback ever higher in the pursuit of excitement. Push a single button to activate X-Mode – it exerts careful control over the engine and transmission, brakes and even the all-wheel drive.

Within the Outback, the placement of the engine and drivetrain is symmetrical and in a straight line – forming the model's tough spine. The arrangement enables identical power delivery to all wheels, boosting the handling and lending you greater control.
This applies in all driving conditions – across gravel and mud, through snow and ice, and on rainy, wet days. You can enjoy the advantages of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive in every new Subaru, with the Outback benefiting from the addition just as much as you do.Text here ...
The introduction of the Boxer engine to the Subaru model range has ensured that each vehicle performs at an incredible level. The 'punch-counterpunch' motion from the pistons evokes the 'Boxer' name, and the horizontally-opposed engine is the first diesel unit of its kind developed for passenger vehicles.
A low engine placement within the Outback adjusts the centre of gravity to a position that feels perfect. The resultant agility and responsive handling is something you'll want to experience first-hand. The sheer pleasure of pressing the accelerator pedal simply can't be replicated – and fuel economy is attractively robust.Text here ...
